Chapter 4: Strange

JOSH'S BLOG: 10:57pm

Today was really weird. I was by the bathroom waiting for pencil neck to get out. Apparently the dryness of her shirt was more important than me really needed to go. There I was with an unopened fortune cookie. These things always surprise me. So I open the fortune cookie and guess what it says?

"Don't judge a person

Until you've walked a mile in their

Moccasins."

Now how strange is that? But the strangest part came after that. While I was reading that, a feel the ground moving under me. It was an earthquake. Pencil Neck ran out of the restroom and bumped right into me. Then it stopped. The earthquake. So I'm lying down and all the sudden I remember a woman saying to me (this was when I was 5):

"Little boy, little boy come sit down by thy feathered chair." In that thought I sat down, on her feathered chair, bursting with curiosity.

"May I see your future?" the woman asked. I think I nodded to her answer. And then I remember that she took my small hand and begin to examine it closely.

"You will live a life of popularity and will be loved by only ones that love your fortune but not thyself. Your goals you will strengthen in the years you grow. But in your 18th year of fortune some conflict will arise and you will find yourself choosing between what you love the most and what you hate the most." And I still remember her toothless grin as she shooed me away after her fortune.

LANA'S VIEW: IN BED

"So farewell—to the little good you bear me.
Farewell? a long farewell to all my greatness!
This is the state of man: to-day he puts forth
The tender leaves of hopes, to-morrow blossoms,
And bears his blushing honors thick upon him;
The third day comes a frost, a killing frost,
And when he thinks, good easy man, full surely
His greatness is a-ripening, nips his root,
And then he falls as I do."

Oh, Shakespeare you do write beautiful things! This simply paragraph is way too great to imagine! Oh, Cardinal Wolsey you do inspire me! To expose him when he's cheating a test! To make him trip on his skateboard! Muhaha!

I would love to see his face then.

But my mind couldn't find ways to get back Josh. It still thinking of today's events how nobody else felt the earthquake except me and Josh. How he gave me that puzzled face. And that creepy old Asian waitress. But whatever happened it always drew me back to the fortune cookie and that was what scared me most.

JOSH'S VIEW: WAKING UP

The air was different. I felt the sun on my face. A strange feeling was on my chest. I looked up. I was in a different room. Where was I? I tracked down yesterday night's thoughts. Nothing.

"Oh my gosh, where am I?" I stared down at the ground. I'm wearing nail polish? Oh wait and girl pajamas? I felt my chest.

"I have tits?!?" I almost screamed. Taking down my pants I saw that IT was missing. IT WAS MISSING!! Was this one of Lana's jokes? I searched frantically for my clothes. Might have some on the desk. A reflecting object caught my eye. I stared in.

"AHHHH!" a guy's voice from next door screamed. I ran to the window. And then I saw myself. I was next door and then I realized I was her. I suddenly become Lana. And Lana suddenly had become me.
